The trailer for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie is on its way.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" has undergone a lot of scrutiny as it is an adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name by British author E.L. James. From casting to re-casting (i.e. Jamie Dornan replacing Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey) to filming, to posters, fans have been gobbling up any information they can about the upcoming movie.

The trailer, on the other hand, has been quite elusive. According to James, this won't be for long.

"Hold on to your hats folks. You'll get your first look at the FSoG movie trailer on July 24. I've had a sneak peek and WOW! #WeAimToPlease," James wrote via Twitter early this morning.

As the movie completed filming months ago, "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans have been pleading for a taste. Various fake trailers have even been posted onto YouTube.

A little bit of information about the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer was already released in March when Universal Studios aired a trailer for the movie at CinemaCon.

The preview featured memorable scenes from the book, such as Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) meeting Christian Grey in his office after the receptionist's introduction of "Mr. Grey will see you now."  There were also clips of the pair at a hardware store, coffee shops and in Christian's helicopter.

Entertainment Weekly reported Anastasia seemed "nervous and earnest" in the trailer, and Christian appeared "handsome and aloof." Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter said the trailer made the movie seem more "romantic" than raunchy. The only thing reminiscent of the S&M themes of the novel were reportedly Anastasia wearing a blindfold, Christian's hand on her thigh and a quick shot of the Red Room's doors opening, which did not show much of the coitus cave.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" hits theaters Feb. 13, 2015. The movie also stars Victor Rasuk as Jose, Eloise Mumford as Kate, Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey and Luke Grimes as Elliot Grey. Sam Taylor-Johnson is director, and James is one of the executive producers.
