Carmelo Anthony will soon make his decision with reports saying that he will return to New York Knicks, but his agent clarified on Thursday that the All-Star forward is still considering all options.

Rich Paul, Anthony's agent, reportedly told ESPN that his client has not made any decision on his future, while another source insisted that everything is still up in the air at this point.

Newly-installed Knicks coach Derek Fisher also told reporters that the 11-year veteran has not told him about any plan to return to New York next season.

The Knicks are still confident of their chances of re-signing Anthony, though, especially after Frank Isola of New York Daily News reported that the 30-year-old superstar has been telling his friends about his intention to remain in the Big Apple for the next several years.

According to the NY Daily News, a close friend of Anthony was informed that the former Syracuse standout wants to win a title in New York and he believes that team president Phil Jackson can transform the Knicks into a title contender soon.

"He will have something for everybody on Thursday," Anthony's friend was quoted as saying. "He is really torn because this is the biggest decision of his career. But he wants to get it done in New York. He told me he believes in Phil."

The Knicks met with Anthony last week and reportedly offered a maximum five-year deal worth $129 million, which is the most lucrative contract the superstar can get this summer.

Aside from the Knicks, Anthony also met with the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Sources indicated that Anthony has also not talked to these teams about his decision.

The Lakers, who are also looking to retool their roster in hopes of turning the tables around next season, offered a four-year, $96 million deal to Anthony.

Most league executives are convinced that the Lakers are the strongest contender in the Anthony sweepstakes aside from the Knicks. The Bulls are also in the running, but their inability to offer a max deal makes them an unlikely option unless they can strike a sign-and-trade deal with the Knicks.
