During a recent interview with Variety, Rosie O' Donnell -who will be returning to "The View" hosting panel this fall-mocked former "The View" co-hosts, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

When asked what fans should expect on the upcoming season of "The View," O'Donnell responded that the daytime talk show would be smarter than prior seasons-including one where Shepherd admitted to being unsure about whether the "Earth is flat."

"No one is going to think the Earth is flat. When I was at home watching that, I thought I was going to have an aneurysm," O' Donnell responded to Variety's question.

Watch the Sherri Shepherd moment that O'Donnell is referring to below.

Despite O'Donnell's dig at the former co-host, BET notes that Shepherd has never been shy when it comes to admitting her lack of knowledge in certain areas.

"I think people expected me to be another Star [Jones], a brainiac with forceful opinions, but that's not what I brought," Shepherd told New York Magazine back in 2009 . "When Joy [Behar] said 'bi-partisan' for the first time, I was like, 'What the heck is that? Is that a French word?' I didn't know anything about politics, and I wasn't afraid to say I was just learning. I think people like that I'm real."

In addition to poking at Shepherd, the 52-year-old comedian also took a jab at Elisabeth Hasselbeck, whom she argued with on-air, prior to her departure from the daytime show.

"Elisabeth would go into the dressing room and go over Republican talking points that are sent out every day, and then come out and recite what she had ingested," she revealed. "I tried to get her to talk more about her own self and how she felt rather than being a robotic pundit."

Though O' Donnell holds negative opinions of her predecessors, she is confident and positive about the new season of "The View."

"I think it's going to be must-see TV," O'Donnell added. "My goal is to come in peace. And the contrast between what the show will be and what it was is going to be glaring."
