One Direction breaks the Vevo record for most views in 24 hours with their recently released music video for "Steal My Girl."

Harry Styles took to his Twitter account on Monday to share the exciting news and thank his 22.4 million followers. "You legends broke the @Vevo record for the most views in 24 hours with the Steal My Girl video. Legends. Thank you," he wrote.

Following Styles' tweet, fans also celebrated yet another of the British boyband's successes via social media with the trending hashtags, such as "#1DFandomSlaysTheWorld" and "#WEBROKETHEVEVORECORD."

1D's latest visual, which was released on Oct. 24, has beat the view count record previously set by Nicki Minaj's twerk-filled, controversial music video for "Anaconda" two months ago -- as it has been viewed over 19.6 million times in one day.

So far, the record-breaking music videos were Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball," One Direction's "Best Song Ever," Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" and Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat."

Meanwhile, the author of 1D-inspired fan fiction "After," Anna Todd, recently discussed the upcoming film adaptation. According to Deadline, Paramount Pictures now has the screen rights to her Wattpad hit/popular novel, which generated 1 billion reads online.

Todd revealed to E! News using all five members from One Direction in her story: "Liam [Payne] is Harry's [Styles] stepbrother in the book. In the book Harry is Hardin, Louis [Tomlinson] is Logan, Liam is Landan, Niall [Horan] is Nate and Zayn [Malik] is Zedd."

"After" centers on the romance between a college girl named Tessa and the Styles look-alike, who "is in college not in a band." "It's a love-hate thing between Harry and Tessa. They hate each other in the beginning and they fight and then they fall in love," she said. "She breaks down all of his walls. It's a very dramatic turn on. They are back and forth and up and down."

One Direction's highly anticipated fourth studio album "FOUR," which is set to feature "Steal My Girl," is set for a release on Nov. 17.
