During a recent interview with Lucky Magazine, Taylor Swift explained the reason behind her decision to cover up her belly button.

"I don't like showing my belly button. When you start showing your belly button then you're really committing to the midriff thing," she said. "I only partially commit to the midriff thing–you're only seeing lower rib cage. I don't want people to know if I have one or not."

Based on her Lucky Magazine interview, it seems the "Shake it Off" singer enjoys toying around with the idea of keeping her belly button a mystery to the public.

"As far as anyone knows based on my public appearances, they haven't seen evidence of a belly button. It could be pierced. They have no idea. If I'm going to get some sort of massive tattoo, it's going to be right next to my belly button because no one's ever going to see that," she said.

Though Swift's belly button remains a mystery to many, her derriere was recently a topic of discussion after DJ Diplo slammed Swift's backside on Twitter.

Last week, Diplo encouraged his Twitter fans to start a kick starter campaign to help Swift get "a booty."

Swift did not respond to Diplo's diss. However, her friend, Lorde, did. The singer from New Zealand tweeted Diplo and dissed his manhood. Check out Lorde's response below.

Since Diplo's diss aimed at Swift's backside, Diplo fans have created a Fundly campaign titled "Get Taylor Swift a Booty," CNN reports.

So far, there are 137 supporters of the Fundly campaign who have raised $95 dollars for the cause.

The campaign goal is currently set at $3,500 in the next 50 days.
