Casting for the Fifty Shades of Grey film has continued with the mother of Anastasia Steele being selected.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Ehle will portray Carla, Mom to 21-year-old Anastasia Steele.

Ehle recently appeared as Jessica in 2012's Zero Dark Thirty. The actress also had roles in Contagion, The King's Speech and The Ides of March.

The actress, age 43, originally gained fame in 1995's Pride and Prejudice when she played Elizabeth Bennet opposite Colin Firth, who portrayed Mr. Darcy.

Ehle will join Dakota Johnson, who appeared in 2012's 21 Jump Street, who was cast as Anastasia Steele and Charlie Hunnam, of FX's "Sons of Anarchy," who was chosen to play Christian Grey.

Sam Taylor-Johnson is director for the film, which is an adaptation of E.L. James' erotic book of the same name, and Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and James herself will produce. Screenwriting credits go to Kelly Marcel.

Recently, Fifty Shades of Grey fans showed Hunnam their appreciation of his latest role by adorning his home's front door with lingerie, in true erotic novel fashion.

"We've seen frilly knickers, bras and even stockings left at his door by some fans of the book as they try to get his attention," one of Hunnam's neighbor's told The Daily Star.

According to the British newspaper, fans left piles of lingerie on Hunnam's doorknob.

"It has been very odd," the neighbor said. "I've never seen anything quite like it."

Fifty Shades of Grey will be released by Focus Features on Aug. 1, 2014.
