With six months lefts until "Jurassic World" is unveiled in cinemas, plot details have started to come out.

On Twitter, director Colin Trevorrow left a message as holiday gift that gave some hints as to what the film would be about. He wrote, "Happy Holidays from the editing room. Do not try this at home."

The tweet came with a photo of "Jurassic World" main protagonist Chris Pratt, fresh off his hit "Guardians of the Galaxy", posing next to the feared and dangerous velociraptor.

This picture suggests that the human characters may be fighting alongside the dangerous creatures instead of running away from them.

Treverrow also hinted that Pratt's character had a relationship with the dinosaurs. In an interview with Slashfilm he stated, "[Pratt's character] Owen's relationship with the raptors is complicated. They aren't friends. These animals are nasty and dangerous, and they'll bite your head off if you make the wrong move. But there are men and women out there today who have forged tenuous connections with dangerous predators. That's interesting territory to me."

Earlier this year in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Trevorrow was adamant about making sure he redefined the film series and give it a new voice. He said, "There's a lot of bold new ideas in the movie and I'm pushing it as far forward as I can. I know Steven [Spielberg] didn't want me to make a carbon copy of the earlier films. So we're going for it."

The director continued, "Chris Pratt's character is doing behavioral research on the raptors. They aren't trained, they can't do tricks. He's just trying to figure out the limits of the relationship between these highly intelligent creatures and human beings. If people don't think there's potential in those ideas, maybe they won't like this movie. But I ask them to give it a chance."

"Jurassic World" continues the series story 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park (1993). Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor's interest, which backfires horribly.

The film was written by Derek Connolly, who is best known for his work on "Safety Not Guaranteed," a film that won Best Screenplay at the Sundance Film festival and which went on to get nominated for the Indie Spirit Awards. The film also stars Bryce Dallas Howard ("The Village"), Judy Greer (Men Women and Children), Jake Johnson ("Let's Be Cops"), Vincent D'Onofrio ("Full Metal Jacket"), Irfan Khan ("Life o Pi), Ty Simpkins ("Iron Man 3"), Nick Robinson ("the Kings of Summer") and Omar Sy ("The InTouchables"). Spielberg served as executive producer, and Michael Giacchino wrote the score to the film. John Schwartzman served as Cinematographer.

Universal will release "Jurassic World" on 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on Jun. 12, 2015
