The second half the "The Walking Dead" trailer was released giving fans a glimpse of what to expect upon its return next month with new characters striving to live for "another day."

The season finale stunned a bunch of people, shocking viewers and leaving them with no clues on what would happen next, Screen Rant reported.

A group of survivors were showed wandering through the woods in the first trailer released for the second half of "The Walking Dead." They were urged to stick together as they fought off a group of unknown assailants.

The next trailer shows a group of survivors wanting to stay alive for just one more day even as the world is kind of ending around them.

Still, fans are in the dark on what's really going to happen next month as the show premieres but it is known that the characters will continue their trek to Washington D.C.

Some could predict what would happen next only if the show follows the comic book series. Yet, one of the major issues some may have about the TV series is that it sometimes has no direction.

Latin Post reported that a new character will premiere on the next season played by actor Ross Marquand.

Speculation is that he will appear on the show as Aaron, a character who first appeared in the 67th issue of the comic book and is a recruiter who lives with his work partner and boyfriend.

Creator of the "Walking Dead" Robert Kirkman previously said on "Talking Dead" that a "prominent" gay character from his comics would be introduced in the second half of Season 5 hinting that Ross may be playing Aaron.

Speculation is that the show may follow the storyline based on the comic book where the group is reunited and back on the road looking for a new home. Aaron meets Rick's group while on the road to Washington.

"The Walking Dead" second half of Season 5 will return to AMC on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 9.p.m.
