Grand Theft Auto Online players will finally receive their $500,000 stimulus package that Rockstar announced in mid-October. Only people who played during the month that Grand Theft Auto Online was released are eligible, The Guardian reports.

On Friday, Rockstar updated a blog post saying that the long awaited $500,000 stimulus package that they announced on Oct. 11 would arrive this week.

"Currently, we expect the next title update (1.05) addressing player progress loss issues to be available sometime early next week," the update said. "Following that, we hope to deliver everyone's GTA$ Stimulus Package before the end of next week. A big thank you to GTA Online players worldwide for your continued patience and understanding and we will continue to keep you all updated."

Rockstar said they would distribute $500,000 worth of GTA$ to players in two $250,000 deposits as an apology for glitches and server issues that plagued Grand Theft Auto Online during its release.

According to The Guardian, however, the GTA$ will only be awarded to those who played Grand Theft Auto Online, which came free with any purchase of Grand Theft Auto 5, during the month that it was released.

Last week, Rockstar also announced new content to be released early November.

"[These] will bring special rewards and bonuses ranging from limited-edition, in-game Event Crate Drops to in-game discount specials and even a special new GTA Online live-stream show hosted by Rockstar at the Social Club Events page and Rockstar Games Twitch page - plus prize pack giveaways of hard-to-find GTAV gear and more," a Rockstar release says.

The updates include the Beach Bum DLC pack, the first part of the Content Creator app and its Online Social Club Event.
