In December, Maria Antonio de la Nieves, the actress who portrays La Chilindrina, revealed that Chespirito's widow, Florinda Meza, had a relationship with Carlos Villagran, who is better known as Kiko. Now, Kiko is speaking out about the alleged relationship.

"I made an error, and I accept it, and I ask the public for forgiveness," he said on "Al Rojo Vivo," according to El Universal. "Was it when she was married? That's how it went, but it was only for a little time. It wasn't anything grand. It was a relationship that was a little more than friends."

Kiko wouldn't give any specifics about the affair but said that each person is responsible for their own actions. According to Kiko, the two had a relationship while being on "El Chavo del 8" and when it ended, there were no issues between the two.

"We had a good relationship," he said. "We kept having a work relationship. We were professionals."

In a recent interview with Publimetro, Kiko said he has not spoken to Meza since Chespirito's funeral. He explained that they are no longer friends.

Kiko also talked about watching "El Chavo del 8" and he said he watches the show just like any other person. It still makes him laugh.

La Chilindrina previously alleged that Meza was the reason Chespirito's first marriage ended.

"It hurt me that they hurt Chespirito's first wife," La Chilindrina said according to El Universal. "She didn't deserve that. She was a marvelous woman, full of integrity, very Catholic, in love with her husband and her children. There were very few women like her."

At the same time, she talked about La Chilindrina having had a romantic relationship with Kiko.
