Microsoft launches their newest video game console, the Xbox One, this Friday. To celebrate, Microsoft is doing it big with launch parties all around the world.

New York City

A launch party will be held in the Big Apple at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square. Rapping duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will perform at the New York City launch party.

Not everyone is invited to the "Thrift Shop," however. Only the first 1,000 people who purchase an Xbox One or an Xbox One launch title will get a ticket to the performance. Try not to feel too bad if you don't get a ticket; the show will be streamed live for those hanging outside the theater.

Stallion 83, who GameSpot reports is "closing in on 1 million Gamerscore," will also make an appearance. In addition, zombies and Roman soldier performers and supercars will be parading around Times Square to promote Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome and Forza Motorsport 5, respectively.

Los Angeles

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Milk Studios will be turned into what Microsoft calls a "gamer heaven." There will be demo stations for Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza Motorsport 5 and Killer Instinct present.

Electronic DJ Deadmau5 will also be performing for the first 500 gamers to buy an Xbox One or an Xbox One launch title.

Xbox-lovers must be at least 18-years-old in order to attend these of Microsoft launch events.

Worldwide

There will also be big Xbox One launch events in major cities including Berlin, London, Paris, Sao Paulo, Sydney, Toronto and Vienna.

TOver 10,000 retail stores will celebrate the launch of the Xbox One by opening their doors at 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 22.

Spike TV will also be airing some of the launch parties beginning at 11 p.m. EDT. Xbox.com and Xbox Live will also be streaming launch parties.

The Xbox One is available starting at $499.
