Spanish actress Anna Allen has deleted her social media profiles after followers discovered that she lied.

Allen posted about her invitation to the Oscars, which she announced through Instagram. According to Ideal, the image said, "It's official. I'm invited to the Oscars."

The image she ended up using was a modified version of the one shared by Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o. Allen's post was cropped to look slightly different.

Allen also tried to make her attendance seem real by posting several images of the event.

During the ceremony, she said she spoke to Neil Patrick Harris, according to Ideal.

"I've been able to talk to Neil Patrick Harris for a good while," she said. "I told him that I was a big fan of his role on 'How I Met Your Mother'..."

Users also found that she lied about guest starring on "The Big Bang Theory" and that she had stolen pictures from other celebrities, particularly Sophia Bush, and used them as her own.

Sonia Monroy was another Spanish celebrity who gave the impression that she had also been at the Oscars. Monroy later apologized for tricking her followers, according to ABC.es.

For Allen, the lies seem to go deeper, and Spanish social media users have not been as forgiving. They have started to create memes inspired by the lies.

Check out a few below.

"The invented life of Anna Allen: from 'The Big Bang Theory' to her obsession with Sophia Bush," Formula TV said.

One user inserted her into "Titanic." "Anna Allen when she was about to win an Oscar for Titanic," the social media user said.

Another inserted her into the royal wedding, but her husband was Little Nicolas, a well-known figure in Spain, who was arrested on charges of forgery and fraud in late 2014, according to La Vanguardia.
