Chris Tucker will be making and producing his own stand-up comedy special. The program called "Chris Tucker Live" will premiere exclusively on Netflix July 10, according to Deadline.

Tucker will produce the show through his banner Chris Tucker Entertainment. Phil Joanou will direct the show.

The show will be filmed at the Historic Fox Theatre in Tucker's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. The special will feature Tucker's comedy that includes impersonations. Tucker will tell stories and jokes from his childhood all the way to making it to the big stage.

"Chris Tucker is a true global movie star and a one-of-a-kind talent whose remarkable energy, delivery and original style make him one of the funniest comedians of our time," Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer said. "We cannot wait to share his distinct and hilarious voice with our members across the globe."

Carter is just as excited to air his show as Netflix.

"I'm thrilled to be partnering with Netflix, one of the true global leaders in entertainment, on my first comedy special," Tucker said. "Before people started seeing me in movies, I was doing stand-up. It's always been a part of me, and now I'm excited to share it with my fans around the world."

Tucker has been acting for quite a while. He first appeared as a guest on the "Def Comedy Jam." Tucker was noted to have clean and non-vulgar comedic routines in his stand-up.

Tucker got his first major role in 1998's "Rush Hour," in which he acted alongside Jackie Chan. Two sequels for the movie have already been made and, according to IMDb, a third sequel is in the works.

Netflix already offers comedy shows featuring popular comedians. Aziz Ansari, Craig Ferguson, Nick Offerman, Chelsea Peretti and Chelsea Handler all have comedy specials on the streaming video service.
