Enrique Iglesias on Tuesday was nominated for Billboard Music Awards in no fewer than three categories -- "Top Latin Artist," "Top Latin Album" and "Top Latin Album," El Universo reported.

The Spanish pop star this year scored big with his hit "Bailando," a collaboration with Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona. Romeo Santos was nominated for five awards, according to Efe

Also on Tuesday, Iglesias took to Twitter to thank concert-goers who turned out for the first and second rounds of the "Enrique Pitbull Tour," for which he was joined by the American rap and hip-hop singer. The vocalist gave a shoutout to his fans in Latin America and Mexico, where he will be headed next.

Between mid-April and early May, Iglesias is set to perform in Paraguay's capital of Asunción, Nicaragua's capital of Managua and the central Costa Rican city of Alajuela. His "Sex and Love Tour" will then continue in Mexico, where the 39-year-old is set to concert in Veracruz, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Torreón, San Luis Potosí, Morelia, Querétaro and Tijuana.

During his stay in Guatemala -- the last before a two-week break -- Iglesias briefly crashed on the stage, but he then safely took a helicopter to the skies over the Central American country, the star revealed on his Instagram account.

In a short video posted to the social media site, the 39-year-old singer is seen at the controls of the chopper as he is taking flying lessons. At one point, Iglesias greets viewers with his trademark smile and a victory sign -- and then quickly turns his attention back to piloting the aircraft.

In his comments, the "Bailando" star wished his fans a happy Easter and thanked concert-goers "for a great show last night"

He had apparently already forgotten about the scary moment that occurred during his Puerto San José show, where he was part of the Brahva Summer Fest. During the performance, Iglesias slipped and fell -- an incident captured on tape by YouTube user Jose Carlos Guerra.

Whether Iglesias will be able to take home the Billboard Music Awards for which he was nominated, meanwhile, will be determined on May 17, when the trophies will be handed out at a ceremony held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
