Jessa Duggar Seewald is pregnant with her first child.

The "19 Kids and Counting" star and her husband, Ben, spoke with People about the news and their excitement over being first-time parents.

"We're expecting!" Jessa, 22, told People. "We are so excited. The due date is November first, our wedding anniversary."

Ben added, "We are looking forward to being parents."

Jessa, who is currently 12 weeks pregnant, revealed she has been experiencing a lot of morning sickness and some heartburn. However, she hasn't had any "super-serious food cravings."

People reports that prior to getting pregnant, Jessa expressed her wish to adopt as many children as possible. She is still interested in doing so despite her pregnancy.

"Our hearts haven't changed on adoption," Jessa said. "We are still making plans."

Following the announcement, Jessa took to Instagram to share photos of herself and Ben posing for pregnancy pictures.

The newlywed Seewalds also released a video discussing the news and alluded to Jessa being pregnant with twins, E! News reports.

In the video, Jessa and Ben are shown making smoothies while discussing the news of her pregnancy.

"You know, pretty soon we'll be making another little smoothie," Jessa says in the video.

Ben replies, "Yeah. Maybe more than one!"

The couple then discusses the possible gender of the baby. Jessa asks Ben, "What do you think it is?" and he teases, "It could be [a boy and a girl]. You never know!"

Jessa and Ben Seewald tied the knot on Nov. 1. The now married pair said "I do" in front of 1,000 guests at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Jessa donned a champagne-colored wedding gown by Allure, which featured "a scoop neck with cap sleeves, a beaded bodice adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearls and a customized tulle and satin skirt," E! News reported.

Two things that were not present at the Duggar-Seewald wedding were a cake and a first kiss from the married couple.

Us Weekly reported that couple opted not to kiss at the alter because they wanted to experience their first kiss alone in a more intimate setting.

Following the wedding ceremony, Duggar and Seewald were granted some time alone and later shared a second kiss at the reception.
