Ever since it was confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 would be unveiled at the E3 conference in June, fans of the franchise are eager to see what's next for the first-person shooting game. Reports came out that the Treyarch-developed game would be playable in E3 with a beta version to come out after.

In April 2015, Treyarch Studio Head Mark Lamia revealed that a beta version would come before the game gets released, reported Xbox Achievements.

"Something the fans of the of the game have been asking for for a long-time, and the last time they got to experience this next thing was about seven years ago now, when Treyarch did it with Call of Duty: World At War," said Lamia. "And that is, a public beta for anybody who pre-orders the game. That's going to happen later on in the year but you're going to hear about it now."

He continued, "We really just want everyone to get their hands on the game at this point. It's so much fun to play and we feel like there's no better way to do that than get their hands on before we ship, give us some feedback, and just make it an awesome launch for them. We're excited to be able to bring that experience to them."

The game's design director, David Vonderhaar, also confirmed via his Twitter account that a beta version is arriving to players soon. The director even took time to answer fans' questions about the upcoming title.

Vonderhaar replied to a question whether the beta version of the game would be limited to E3 and Gamescom only and said, "You will be able to play the Beta at home. E3/Gamescom something else entirely."

The same fan apparently did not understand Vonderhaar and asked the designer if the beta would be playable only in the two conferences to which he replied, "E3 is alpha. Beta is beta. Gamescom is "nearly finished."

Another fan of the game revealed via Twitter that the beta version is arriving in August. Twitter user @Satynade shared via the social networking account the email he received from Norwegian online store CDON.com, which revealed the arrival date of the beta version.

The email, translated to English, said, "The code will be sent you your mail in August, when the Beta version releases."

Lamia also confirmed that the multiplayer mode for the video game would be playable at the E3 conference.

"For the first time ever in Call of Duty history, and we've been doing this for a long time, we're going to have, on the floor at E3, Call of Duty multiplayer for everyone to experience," said Lamia.

The studio chief added, "We want players, people who to E3, to experience it. And experience it they will. Take it from us that Black Ops 3 multiplayer is a pretty different experience and definitely a joy to behold."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 would arrive to consoles on Nov. 6, 2015.
