Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will reunite at this year's People's Choice Awards. The couple who left a sharp dagger in our hearts after their break-up will once again have the opportunity to at least speak. Well... that is if Jessica Biel and David Lucado don't stop them.

The 40th Annual People's Choice Awards will air on Jan. 8 from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The stars scheduled to attend are Drew Barrymore, Robert Downey Jr., Zac Efron, Anna Faris, Sarah Michelle Gellar and fellow "Mickey Mouse Musketeer" Christina Aguilera. These are just some of the long list of attendees, which includes Timberlake and Spears.

Performers of the night include Brad Paisley, Sara Bareilles and One Republic. It's going to be a great award show but Justin and Britney have definitely stolen the limelight as we continue to entertain the idea of the former couple reuniting. JT and Brit met as kids on the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club and then dated when they both hit stardom in 1999 through 2002.

The real reason for the picture perfect pop singing couple's break-up was never revealed. However, Justin's "Cry Me a River" and "What Goes Around," tell a story of a man who was cheated on by a woman he was in love with (the girl featured on "Cry Me a River" was a Britney look alike). Britney's "Everytime" was a song written by the star which lyrics admit, "my weakness caused you pain and this song is my sorry."

Now, we know that JT is married to Jessica Biel and Britney is dating that David guy. Now we don't mean to be shady, but can the exes at least talk for a bit? Realistically, Justin and Britney are both in relationships and they haven't been together for almost a decade. But Brit keeps mentioning JT, saying his music is "inspiring to [her]," so let's give the girl a chance to say what's really on her mind.

It's just intriguing to imagine what a conversation between these two would sound like. Don't miss the People's Choice Awards to find out what happens with Brit and JT, which most likely will be nothing.
