Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel got into another off-field incident.

Manziel was "harassed relentlessly by a fan" during the AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament on Saturday, Cleveland.com reported, citing Irving, Texas, police spokesman James McLellan. The heckling resulted to Manziel throwing a water bottle at the fan.

There were no charges filed and no one was arrested as a result of the confrontation. Manziel was also not drunk or intoxicated at the time of the reported encounter, confirmed McLellan.

"There was a kid -- I'll call him a kid, he was 18 -- at the pool area. The kid had been asking [Manziel] for a couple hours for his autograph, and he wouldn't give it to him," McLellan also told ESPN on Sunday,

"That turned into badgering on the kid's part, and it reached the point where Johnny Manziel threw a bottle of water at the kid. I don't know if it hit him. I guess I would say that ramped it up a bit," the spokesman added.

Manziel, a changed man?

In April, Manziel was discharged from a 10-week treatment in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.

The Browns quarterback issued a statement on April 17, thanking his fans for their continued support, noted ESPN. In the letter, Manziel also apologized for disappointing his fans and his team and  promised to deliver a new Manziel his fans and the Browns management will be proud of.

"I look forward to seeing my teammates next week and focusing on football and my desire to be the best possible player, teammate, and man that I can be," Manziel wrote.

However, he also requested for a little understanding for what he is going through despite owning up to his actions.

"I take full responsibility for my actions and it's my intention to work very hard to regain everyone's trust and respect. I understand that will take time and will only happen through what I do and not what I say. I also understand there's a lot of curiosity about this but anyone who has a friend or family-member that's been through things like this knows it's an ongoing process," Manziel added.

Recent reports indicated that Manziel has been trying to fulfill his promise of becoming a better man. His offensive coordinator, John DeFilippo, and co-players like Joe Thomas, commended his efforts. "The way he is now is night and day from last year," Thomas told NFL.com.
