At the end of February former NBA badboy Dennis Rodman took a highly publicized trip to North Korea and ended up becoming buddies with Kim Jong-Un. Now it's the FBI that wants to become friendly with Dennis Rodman.

"I have been contacted by the FBI and I met with them," Rodman told the Miami Herald on Saturday night. "They wanted to know what went on and who's really in charge in North Korea."

He has reportedly since been involved in talks with the FBI and has divulged information about what he saw while in North Korea. Now several sources are are indicating that Rodman has been asked to be play the role of FBI informant should he return to North Korea as planned.

"I have been invited back to North Korea in August and I want to go. I'm not a total idiot. I know what Kim Jong Un is threatening to do regarding his military muscle. I hope it doesn't happen because America will take whatever actions to protect America and our allies."

The former Bulls forward has taken his role in stride, continuing to echo the sentiment that peace can be attained between America and North Korea:

"[Jong-Un] said, if you can, Dennis, I don't want to do war. I don't want to do war. He said that to me," Rodman recounted.

Rodman is perhaps the last person one would expect to work for the FBI. During his playing days in the NBA, where he became one of the most feared defenders of all time, "The Worm" gained notoriety as one of the sport's bad boys and his marriage to Playmate Carmen Electra turned more than a few heads when he walked down the aisle in a dress.

"I do think that we have to talk to people who want to cause us harm so hopefully they won't. I've been talking to folks for years who don't get what I'm about, but that's cool, 'cause once they walk away they like me. I might be able to keep folks' heads cool. We all going to find a way to get along and keep peace."

With tensions rising on the Korean peninsula, Rodman's hope for peace seems to be less and less likely by the day. As for his role as an FBI informant, it is doubtful that Kim Jong-Un would not be aware of that possibility and be prepared for it.
