Despite the death of Proof in 2006 and the subsequent exit of two crucial members, it seems as though the group popularly known as D12 is making a comeback into the popular music scene once again.

There is a rumor going around the music industry that they are working on a brand new album including the rap superstar and Detroit native Eminem. This news made shockwaves throughout the music industry and, needless to say, it was one of the best news for die-hard fans of the D12 music group, which was widely, and for a long time, presumed to be dead.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the members of the group had been taking a very low profile, barely ever performing on stage, something which had been such a difficult thing for the once famous group. One of the D12 members had started a recording studio in Detroit and helped to bring up some fresh talent in the area and is working on a few solo projects as well.

The article reports that ''Bass, who has started a label called Motunes Media, says he's also been mixing new material by the mercurial funk-pop giant Sly Stone with members of the original Family Stone band, along with new D12 tracks, including three with Eminem.''

There is a lot of speculation about the future of the rap group going forward. Fans can expect lots of performances from them, in 2014 especially, in a quest to publicize the new album. One can be fairly sure that there are going to be a couple of major hits and strong performances due to special appearances from the successful rapper Eminem.

There hasn't been any official release dates or any official track list but all that is known is that the group has put a lot of work into the album and are confident that it will explain their absence from the scene to their fans. Knowing the kind of music that they are able to produce, fans should not be disappointed at all.
