Anna and Josh Duggar welcomed their fourth child, a daughter named Meredith Grace, on Sunday.

Josh, who has stayed out of the spotlight since facts about his molestation scandal surfaced, posted an Instagram photo of himself, Anna and newborn Meredith to announce his daughter's arrival.

Meredith arrived nine days after her due date, but, according to Josh, mother and daughter are well. At birth, Meredith weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 20-1/2 inches long.

"Anna and Meredith are resting & doing well!" he captioned the picture.

Aunt Jessa Duggar Seewald, 22, posted an Instagram picture of her newborn niece on Sunday, along with the caption, "My beautiful niece! So excited to welcome little Meredith Grace Duggar into the world!"

Josh's parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar shared a video welcoming their fifth grandchild on the Duggar Family website.

"Anna did an amazing job though labor," Michelle said from the living room of their Arkansas home. "We are just rejoicing with Josh and Anna. Meredith Grace is beautiful and Mackynzie, Michael and Marcus are just loving having their little sister here."

The new baby brings something positive to the troubled conservative Christian family who learned just three days ago that the TLC Network is canceling their reality TV series "19 Kids and Counting" due to the bad publicity surrounding Josh's molestation scandal.

Meredith Grace is the couple's first child not to have her birth documented by camera crews for television.

A week earlier, the Duggar family shared the photo below of Anna and Seewald, who is expecting her first child on Nov. 1.

Josh and Anna, both 27, married in 2008. They have a daughter Mackynzie, 6, and two sons, four-year-old Michael and two-year-old Marcus.
