For actress Jessica Alba, motherhood and creating a safe, chemical-free environment go hand in hand. That's why she launched The Honest Company, which makes eco-friendly products for babies such as diapers, wipes and organic onesies, as well as products for the home, in an effort to do her part to make her world a better place.

The Latina actress-turned-entrepreneur stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show yesterday to talk about being "crafty" with her kids for Valentine's Day, and her husband. Cash's "pizza pajama party" birthday celebration, where the entire family wore onesies and had a little too much "punch," to the latest initiatives she is taking with The Honest Company.

According to Alba, The Honest Company has grown significantly since it started with 15 non-toxic products to now 56 products, progress in which she is extremely proud, she told DeGeneres. The green company is now making cribs, which especially hits home for the 32-year-old mother of two.

Alba also incorporates a philanthropic approach to the company's mission. With that said, the company will be donating cribs to families in need. And an added bonus for some fans and eco-friendly parents will be a visit from the Latin beauty -- Alba will personally deliver the first few cribs, Alba told DeGeneres.

DeGeneres added that Alba's efforts will indeed "feel good" and be rewarding.

The California native comes from "modest beginnings," and she likes to pay it forward -- she is actively involved with charities such as Safer Chemicals Healthy Families, ONE, Habitat for Humanity, Project HOME, etc.

The Golden Globe-nominated actress, has starred in films such as Fantastic Four and Little Fockers, as well as television series like Dark Angel, The Office and Entourage, yet the role of motherhood is her best gig.

"Being a mom is the most profound experience I've ever had," she said on The Honest Company's official website.

She has 4-year-old Honor and newborn Haven, and "admits she feels an intense responsibility to give her children the best possible start."

"When I became a mom, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been," she said. "It's the most satisfying job in the world. But, it can also be overwhelming and confusing. I created The Honest Company to help moms and to give all children a better, safer start."
