Game developer Atlus has recently confirmed that "Persona 5" will be released this year. North America will get its hands on the video first while the game's European launch is still in limbo.

According to Attack of the Fan Boy, Atlus is known to take its time when it comes to releasing local titles, and, this time, its North America release will give its fans something to look forward to. When asked about its European release, John Hardin of Atlus USA confirmed that the company is still waiting for publishers to confirm Atlus' titles once they land there. The year 2015 will be Japan and North America's turn to have the "Persona 5" video game ahead of the others.

Given the timeline and September fast approaching, some are apprehensive about the actual release date of "Persona 5." Some doubt whether it will be actually launched this 2015. However, according to PushSquare, Atlus insists that they are coming this year. The Tokyo Game Show will soon start, and fans expect the "Persona 5" to make some big reveals. When asked about the possibility of the "Persona 5" being released by 2016, John Hardin, in an interview with God is a Geek, dismissed the idea, saying that the information is wrong from the start. In fact, "Persona 5" will be released in the later part of 2015.

Atlus received several questions when "Persona 5" failed to make an appearance at the recent E3 expo to which Hardin assured fans that there will be "Persona 5" at the end of the year. In his statement, he also added that in order to avoid the "Devil Survivor Overclocked" and "Shin Megami Tensei 4" event, they make sure of the target regions and release date instead of assuming the integral information fans have always waited for.

"Persona 5" also has an English website in which the announcement of its pending release this year was mentioned.

Atlus also announced that there is a "Persona 5" Special Movie in Blu-ray, according to a report from Gematsu. Along with this are some previous copies of "Persona 4: Dancing All Night." The Blu-ray movie is said to include the "Persona" Super Live2015 announcement video, the second trailer for "Persona 5," the SCE Conference announcement video and other important events during the launching of the video game.

"Persona" has six series already under its belt including "Persona 5," which is set to be released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 this year in Japan and North America.
