When it comes to questions of the heart, the Man of Steel himself would rather leave it for fans to decide.

In a recent interview with a popular women's magazine, Henry Cavill weighed-in, albeit vaguely, on which woman befits the role of Superman's one true love. Is it Diana of Themyscira aka Wonder Woman, or Lois Lane, the gutsy beat reporter from the Daily Planet?

"This is a very long discussion because there are a lot of questions to be asked and answered. I mean who is better for a super-powered alien, a human or a goddess? Yes, the goddess can do all the normal things, which we would think are normal in a relationship, and not have any fear of Superman. But you also need to have that baseline of humanity, which Lois provides. And literally keeps his feet on the ground, keeps him down to earth. So that's more of a debate than an answer," Cavill told Cosmopolitan.

The actor thinks that in terms of compatibility, no doubt Wonder Woman is equal in every way. Nonetheless, it's Lane who helps the Big Blue stay in-tuned with his humanity.

Clark Kent's romance with Lane has also spanned much longer than the Superman-Wonder Woman tandem. The Daily Planet couple even got married in the comics from 1996 to 2011.

"While Superman and Lois Lane are frequently paired together in comics and other media, the Man of Steel and the Amazonian princess have most notably been romantically involved in the ongoing comic books Justice League and Superman/Wonder Woman over the last several years," Cinema Blend reported.

The trio of characters will be appearing for the first time together on the big screen in next year's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Based from the movie's trailer, we won't be seeing a cinematic love triangle just yet. Kent is set to build upon his budding romance with Lane, which was first hinted upon on "The Man of Steel." On the other hand, Wonder Woman will be making her DC cinematic universe debut in the upcoming superhero movie.

An earlier report expanded upon Wonder Woman's role in the film.

According to Heroic Hollywood, Wonder Woman, portrayed by Gal Gadot, will have a mega-fight scene with Doomsday. Doomsday is the hulking monster responsible for Superman's death in the comics. He became a premiere villain to the Justice League.

"During the fight with Doomsday, Wonder Woman draws that awesome sword of hers, swings it at Doomsday and manages to chop off the hand of the beast!" Umberto Gonzales of HH wrote.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will arrive in theaters on March 25, 2016.
