Sony is finally giving its portable players in the United States some variety.

The PS Vita will be offered in aqua blue starting Nov. 6, Engadget reports.

Japanese PS Vita owners have had their choice of several colors for years, but U.S. players have been stuck with either white or black.

The aqua blue PS Vita will have all the same specifications that the white and black units have, but it will be more visually appealing.

In the U.S., the aqua blue PS Vita will be a GameStop exclusive. The special PS Vita can be pre-ordered now for $199.99 from GameStop's website or inside GameStop stores.

The PS Vita has been around since 2012 and developers are starting to lose interest in the portable system, which is the second-generation portable system after the PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Games for the PS Vita include classic PlayStation titles like "Killzone" and "Uncharted" and many indie titles.

Sony Computer Entertainment America VP of Platforms Marketing John Koller said that "Minecraft: Story Mode" would be coming to the PS Vita, but did not give a date for its arrival. Koller also said that the PS Vita has 1,000 games available and more are coming, PlayStation LifeStyle reports.

"Knowing the passionate PS Vita fan base as I do," he adds, "the color won't last long, so pre-order today and get ready to enjoy yet another reason that PlayStation is the best place to play!"

On Sept. 17, Japanese players will be able to purchase the PS Vita in aqua blue, neon orange and glacier white. The additional colors were announced separately by Sony Japan. The announcement did not mention anything about the U.S. getting these additional colors.
