Republican candidates are taking turns swiping at the current front runner of their party.

As Latin Post reported, GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson derided front-runner Donald Trump’s immigration ideas as costly and unrealistic. Now Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has taken aim at Trump’s as-yet-to-be-seen tax plan. Trump’s tax plan is expected to call for an increase in taxes on the wealthy, which is not exactly what the Republican Party is known for doing.

“I think if someone wants to raise taxes, they should run for the Democratic nomination,” Rubio said, speaking to Boston Herald Radio's host Adriana Cohen. “That party loves to raise taxes, I want to keep taxes low.”

For his part, Rubio is sticking to the standard GOP talk about lowering taxes.

“I think we need to have the lowest tax burden nation of the industrialized countries,” he said. “That means we need to lower our corporate tax rate, lower our personal tax rate, simplify the tax code…and have a pro-family tax code that increases the child tax credit.”

Trump has called for an end to tax breaks that helps private-equity and hedge-fund managers.

Warren Buffet, a Hillary Clinton supporter, finds no fault with Trump’s tax ideas.

“In terms of tax policy, I haven’t heard him say anything yet that I disagree with,” Buffet said, according to Bloomberg“He’s going to spell out his economic program some time in the next few weeks. I wouldn’t be surprised if I agree with quite a bit of his economic program.”

Rubio suggests he will go along with whatever the tax policy is so long as it means that a Republican is in charge of the country again.

“I intend to be the nominee. If it is not God’s will, then my intention is to support whoever the nominee is,” he said.
