The highly demanded Veronica Mars movie will premiere on March 14. Fans do not have to wait until then to get a little bit of their Veronica Mars fix, however. On Friday, the opening scene of the movie was released on YouTube.

"Right now, you can see the first two minutes of the Veronica Mars movie. Get caught up on the characters, Neptune, and everything you need to join the fun on March 14, when Veronica Mars is released in theaters," the video's description says.

The opening scene starts with the voice of Kristen Bell, the star of the series and movie.

"A teenaged private eye," she says. "Trust me; I know how dumb that sounds."

The movie, which is a spinoff of the 64-episode 2004-2007 television series, was at least partially funded by a Kickstarter campaign. Fans' crowdfunding raised $5.7 million a year to the film's release date, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Bell showed her gratitude on the red carpet at last night's Oscars.

"Obviously, you hope to please each and every one of them," Bell told MTV.

The actress' husband, Dax Shephard, however, has one regret.

"There's not enough nudity to please everyone, to be honest, but it's almost," he said.

"That's a good point," Bell agreed. "It's a good point."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Veronica Mars movie will be shown in about 270 mostly AMC theaters nationwide, which Warner Bros. rented out. It will also be available online via rent or purchase. The film features the television series' co-star Jason Dohring as Logan Echolls.

"Like me, he was fueled by rage and distrust," Bell continues in the opening scene. "He wanted to make someone pay. It's likely those qualities are what drew us together -- they're absolutely what tore us apart."
