Ardent fans of the "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." must have the shock of their life after witnessing a possible Inhuman love brewing in the series early in season three, specifically on the third episode titled "A Wanted (Inhu)man."

Although the show's executive producers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen already teased on Entertainment Weekly about new partnerships and romance being formed in the show, avid viewers of the Marvel Television and ABC Network-produced series may not have expected it this soon.

Did anyone actually see the kiss between Lincoln Campbell (Luke Mitchell) and Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) coming on the Oct. 13 episode, whose focus is Lincoln's life being endangered from the Inhumans hunting unit, per the MCU Exchange featured synopsis? It must be a real blow to followers, who are still shipping the "SkyeWard" love team or those hoping for Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) to still be back with Daisy, who went with the name of Skye before.

Yet, this Lincoln-Daisy tandem is still on the rocks as Lincoln, an Inhuman with electricity-generating powers was already entrusted to the ATCU, a separate Entertainment Weekly article noted. Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) decided to send Lincoln to the government unit headed by Rosalind Price (Constance Zimmer) after learning that the leader knows about Daisy, who is an Inhuman with the ability to produce earthquake-like activities.

The Fitz-Simmons' closeness

Meanwhile, another important aspect seen in the episode was the intense bond between lab partners Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) as the biochemist adjusts again in her old environment after a traumatic stay in another dimension, which was said to be a billion years older than the Earth, per the second episode.

Yet, Henstridge was quick to deny that Simmons' feelings for Fitz are not romantic at all, in another article of the Entertainment Weekly article.

"I think she'll be leaning on him even more... It's so far away from being romantic at the moment. He's just there for pure comfort," Henstridge said.

Yet, it does not matter, as the two genius scientists are ready to be each other's strength or savior, no matter what.

May-Lance tandem

Another partnership seen in the third episode was that of Melinda May's (Ming-Na Wen) and Lance Hunter's (Nick Blood) as both of them unite to tackle Ward and HYDRA. The duo's mission will continue on the fourth episode as seen on the teaser video on YouTube:

The clip also shows the agency's focus on finding and stopping the monstrous Lash (Matthew Willig) on their Oct. 20 episode on ABC.
