Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James missed their last four preseason matches, but head coach David Blatt said that the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player will be ready for their 2015-16 NBA season opener.

James missed their preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to illness and was also rested against the Indiana Pacers. He then received anti-inflammatory shots in his back last week, which ruled him out for their games against the Toronto Raptors and Dallas Mavericks.

But when asked about James' status for their season opener against the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 27, Blatt said that he is convinced that his main man will play for the Cavaliers.

"I would say he will absolutely be ready for the season opener," Blatt said when asked about James via ESPN. "Absolutely."

Blatt also added that James, who averaged 11.0 points on just 32.1 percent shooting to go along with 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds in two preseason games, worked out on Monday and was ready to play against the Mavericks.

The Cavaliers considered the idea of taking a look at James and Kevin Love together on the floor for the first time, but their coaching staff eventually decided to rest their 30-year-old forward.

There were also concerns about James' fitness after playing in the finals for five consecutive seasons. But Blatt played down fears, saying that James is still in great shape despite playing a lot of minutes over the past five seasons -- four with the Miami Heat and last year with the Cavaliers.

"He's not," Blatt said, when asked if James is already in the category of advanced-age players. "He is in terms of the number of games he's played or given the fact that he's constantly deep into the playoffs and his greatness helps his team achieve those levels. But LeBron's in pretty good shape, and he's done pretty well so far."

Meanwhile, Love played in his second game following his recovery from a shoulder injury. The former All-Star scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds to help the Cavaliers score a 103-97 win against the Mavericks on Sunday, avoiding a winless preseason campaign.

Love made his debut on Sunday against the Toronto Raptors, which was his first game since Game 4 of their first-round playoff series against the Boston Celtics. The 27-year-old forward, who signed a five-year deal worth $113 million during the offseason, averaged 16.4 points and 9.7 rebounds for the Cavaliers last season.
