The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles will square off on Sunday night in a huge NFC East game. neither team even has a winning record at the moment, but the stakes couldn't be higher. With a combined record of 5-9, time is running out for both of these teams.

Let's preview the game and pick a winner.

Dallas Cowboys (2-5)

Injuries are terrible, but it's part of the game. Ever since Tony Romo went down with an injury (against the Eagles) this team has looked completely lost. Brandon Weeden wasn't terrible, but he never really did anything to win the job. Matt Cassel has looked awful in his two starts. Believe it or not, Romo still leads the team with three touchdown passes. The bottom line is, losing Romo has been extremely detrimental.

On the positive side, the Cowboys defense is starting to improve. Greg Hardy is giving the Cowboys that much needed pass rush. Despite only playing three games, Hardy already leads the Cowboys in sacks with three. The Cowboys defenses ranks No. 8 overall in yards given up, but the offense just isn't scoring enough.

With Joseph Randle being released, Darren McFadden is now the full time starter for the Cowboys. McFadden has shown signs of greatness this season, but opposing teams are stacking the box at the line of scrimmage knowing the Cowboys don't have a real passing threat.

The Cowboys beat the Eagles in Week 2, 20-10 in Philadelphia. If they lose this game, their season is pretty much over at 2-6.

The Cowboys play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week.

Philadelphia Eagles (3-4)

At 3-4, things aren't looking great for Chip Kelly's Eagles. Thankfully for them, they play in a putrid division, and are very much alive for the No. 4 seed in the NFC. The Eagles lost their last game to the Carolina Panthers, and they are coming off a bye week.

Sam Bradford hasn't adjusted well to the Eagles offensive system at all with nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions. His 29.6 QBR ranks as one of the worst in the entire NFL. DeMarco Murray is still trying to find his place in this offense as well, but it appears as if Ryan Matthews is the better option. Not only did the Eagles lose their last game to the Cowboys but it came against Weeden in the second half who was seven for seven passing.

The biggest issue with the Eagles this year has been turnovers. Their offense has turned the ball over the third most times in the league this year. The only road win for the Eagles this year was against the New York Jets.

The Eagles play the Miami Dolphins next week.

Schedule

The Eagles and Cowboys will play each other on Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC. The game will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. You can watch a live game stream here.

Prediction

Both teams really need this game. The New York Giants aren't playing great, but at least they have a solid quarterback. Neither team has a great offense, so it's going to come down to turnovers, defense and special teams play. I just have a feeling the Cowboys will somehow get this win to stay alive in the playoff race. Dez Bryant makes the difference.

Cowboys win 17-14
