Fox has revealed an exclusive clip of the upcoming episode of "Rosewood."

The new clip showcases Jaina Lee Ortiz as Det. Villa and Lisa Vidal as Daisey Villa. The clip shows Lisa Vidal, a Hispanic icon in the entertainment industry, in her first appearance on the show as Ortiz's mother.

In the clip, Ortiz's character Villa is moving into her mother's home and it shows the interaction between mother and daughter as well as the disconnection between them. It also glimpses at the alcohol issues that Villa's mother is currently having and the impact it will have in their relationship.

However, the clip also previews how the relationship will change as the series develops and how the two will grow close.

"Rosewood" is now in its first season and has been a success for Fox. The first season is expected to end after the 22 episodes. 

Vidal has been an icon in the industry for many years and she has been seen in "Shameless," "Grimm," "Being Mary Jane" and J.J Abrams' "Star Trek." She has also appeared in "Southland," "CSI: Miami," "Without a Trace" and in the 2007 film "Dark Mirror." She has been nominated for multiple ALMA awards and has won an award at the Imagen Foundation awards.

Ortiz was previously seen in "The Shop," and in the TV movie "The After," directed by Chris Carter.

"Rosewood" tells the story of Miami pathologist, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. Through his investigations he finds secrets in people's bodies using his state-of-the-art laboratory equipment.

"Rosewood" was nominated for the People's Choice award for Favorite New TV drama and was created by Todd Harthan ("Psych," "Crash," and "The Kill Point").

The show also stars Morris Chestnut, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle, Lorraine Toussaint and Domenick Lombardozzi.

"Rosewood" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on FOX.
