ABC is about to bring a new Latino comedy show to the network as more Latinos make it on TV.

According to Deadline, Mark Perez came into ABC, accompanied by Mark Tannenbaum and CBS TV Studios, and made a pitch for the show "Accidentes." Evidently that was enough to get an immediate green light for script development and production.

Although the show has been billed as a comedy, it will also have its fair share of drama embedded in the series. The content and premise for the show has been written by Perez and CBS TV Studios will be helping him to develop.

The story is about a Latino man who has distanced himself from his Latino roots and worked on Wall Street as a lawyer. But once scandal hits, he is disgraced from his unique standing in the industry and forced to move back and live with his family in Little Havana.

The family owns a law firm at a strip mall in the area and he takes up working for them. There are certainly many ways that the comedy can come out in this, but there will also be a slight discord of drama in the show.

Perez, Mark Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum will all serve as executive producers on the show. Both Tannenbaums are with the Tannenbaum Company, which falls under the CBS TV Studios umbrella.

Hollywood has seen a lot of Perez here lately. He has penned the scripts for films like "The Country Bears" and "Accepted" already. He is currently writing the soon to be hit TV show "Mothers I'd Like To..." That series is expected to put actress Jennifer Lopez back in the star circuit for the industry. He is also writing "Game Night" at New Line.

There has been no official word yet as to when production will start on "Accidentes" or when it will premiere on ABC.
