It's been around four months since Google released the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Nexus devices, other manufacturers have also started puishing the updates to their smartphones as well companies like Samsung, LG, HTC etc has also declared the updates on their selected devices. Meanwhile Xiaomi has been lagging behind its competitors.

A good news for Mi users because, Xiaomi officials have confirmed that the new Android Nougat 7.0 update is arriving for thier smartphones. The Xiomi Mi 4c, Xiomi Mi 4S, and Xiomi Mi Note will be the first to receive the update followed by Xiomi Mi Note 2, Xiomi Mi 5s Plus and Xiomi Mi Max. Company has confirmed the update news through Weibo.

According to IBTimes, Mi 5 has been the only handset to have embraced the official Nougat update till date, besides being the first Xiaomi device to receive the latest Android 7.1.1 update via CyanogenMod 14 ROM.

Despite the representative's message pointing to the older Mi Note as one of the models expected to get the Nougat update, veterans of the Android community have suggested that the guy could be hinting at the newer Mi Note 2.

Accoring to BGR report, the Official didn't mentioned about the devices, neither revealed any fixed date or time-frame for the roll-out he played a very smart game by increasing the curosity of the users. A month back leaked of screenshot of MIUI 9 were out caring interface and version number 6.9.23. The update of Android 7.0 Nougat will feature multi-window to run two application spontaneously at a time. inline notification feature to reply to text messages right and instant messages from notification panel. The feature also works on other apps such as Telegram Messenger, Hike Messenger and Whats-app among others.

Google has introduced improved Doze that puts all background apps in hibernation mode when the smartphone screen is turned off. Google also introduced 'project svelte' which aims to optimize RAM usage and minimize the memory used by the system and apps. Also user can block background data access to apps to reduce data consumption.

Meanwhile, there is still no word on the precise release date for the impending Nougat update on the said devices. However, it is widely believed that the update could start rolling out as early as Q1 2017.
