Samsung will soon announce this month about the result of an investigation into what caused some of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones to catch fire. More than two weeks ago there was talks that Samsung had concluded an in-house investigation into the cause of the explosions that derailed the Samsung Note 7.

According to Phone Arena, Samsung originally attributed the issue to a defective battery, but when company reissued the phone with new batteries inside the replacement models the smartphones continued to explode. At that point of time company decided to pull of the Galaxy Note 7 from the market completely.

In an efforts to find a definitive reason that why Galaxy Note 7 had turned into a lethal weapon, Samsung called an in-house investigation. Moreover rumors suggest Samsung had pushed suppliers to meet tighter deadlines for an earlier launch in order to compete the iPhone 7 leading to critical oversights that led to some batteries catching fire. Later in October Samsung declared to examine all the aspects of the smartphone.

As per MacRumors, Samsung will report that it was combination of factors that led to the explosions of the Note 7. By releasing this piece of information to the public, the manufacturer is hoping to remove the clouds that has been hanging over the brand name Samsung since the whole affair began last September. Only a few people at the top of the company have been given the results of the investigation.

However the company has apologized to its ardent fans, and it is now completely focused on next year's Galaxy S8. It is also busy trying to stem the flow of leaks about next year's flagship smartphone ahead of its launch in April 2017
