The release date for two Windows 10 smartphones in Canada has been announced. Accordingly, Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL are arriving in time for the holiday.

Phone Arena noted that those who ordered Lumia 950 or the 950 XL via the Canadian Microsoft Store will be able to get their Windows 10 smartphones just in time for Christmas. Specifically, the Microsoft Store website, according to the report, announced that these two devices are arriving on Christmas Eve.

For the uninitiated, Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL were both announced on October 2015. The former has a 5.2-inch AMOLED display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, according to GSM Arena.

As for the hardware specs, Lumia 950 is equipped with Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 paired with 3 GB of RAM. Internal memory capacity is 32 GB but can be expanded up to 200 GB via a microSD.

On the other hand, Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, the bigger variant, is boasting of a 5.7-inch display with same resolution as the Lumia. However, XL has 518 ppi pixel density while the standard Lumia 950 features 564 ppi pixel density.

Lumia 950 XL is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Its specs list on a separate page on GSM Arena noted that it is powered by Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset and with 3 GB of RAM.

As for the shooting specs, both Lumia 950 and 950 XL are equipped with 20 MP primary camera capable of producing images with resolution as high as 4992 x 3744. The front-facing camera for the two Windows 10 smartphones has five-megapixel lens sensor.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is also offering discounts for bundle accessories for these two Windows 10-powered smartphones. Phone Arena reported that customers in Canada can avail discounts as huge as $60 if they purchase the accessory bundle including a portable charger, a phone case and a screen protector.

There's also a Display Dock Productivity bundle, which comes with a price tag worth $119.89. In this bundle, customers will get an Arc Touch Bluetooth mouse, a Belkin Ultra-Thin High Pas0.sive 6-foot HDMI cable and a Universal Mobile keyboard.

But interested buyers need to take note that the Display Dock itself is not yet included in the bundle. However, those getting the Lumia 5 XL from Microsoft Store site can get a free Display Dock through the Lumia Offers mobile app, Phone Arena further explained.
