Disneyland Paris is yet to come out from another tribulation after a man was discovered carrying two guns while entering a hotel near the famous theme park. According to BBC, the man was arrested shortly after a metal detector at the entrance of the hotel alarmed officials.

Initial investigation has also been made despite the unnamed man, 28, claiming he carried the guns for his own safety.

Disneyland Paris' spokesman Francois Banon said, "During a routine security screening checkpoint at one of our hotels, weapons were discovered in a guest's luggage through our X-ray machine. The police were immediately notified and the individual was arrested. We continue to work closely with the authorities and the safety and security of our guests and cast members is our utmost priority."

Despite the incident on Thursday, Disneyland Paris remained opened to its clients, unlike during the Paris attack when they closed down the entire park for a short period of time. The suspect was found to have been carrying two guns along with a box of ammunition and the Koran, the publication reported.

After the man was arrested, police officials also searched for the man's vehicle that also led to the arrest of a certain woman suspected to be his girlfriend, ABC reports. The unidentified woman, however, was immediately released after showing no signs of being related to the suspect.

While investigators do not directly point the incident to any form of terrorism, Disneyland Paris said they continue to work closely with the officials in order to protect and keep the safety of its visitors as well as their employees.

The man apparently lives in Paris. A source for the investigation revealed that he works as a joint manager for a restaurant in Paris' 14th arrondissement.

The man's co-workers expressed their shock after the news. One of his co-workers said, "For me it's a mistake." His co-manager even said, "Honestly, I'm taken aback. It's a joke."

In separate news by ABC, French President Francois Hollande expressed his eagerness to add three more months to the expiring state of emergency of the country. Despite the disapproval of some activists about the plan to extend the status, Hollande is scheduled to meet with his cabinet members on Feb. 3 to discuss the possibility of an extension.

Meanwhile, a Belgian court didn't find any sufficient evidence against 10 suspected terrorists on the deadly Paris attack and has ordered for their immediate release.
