One Direction is currently in Lima as part of the South American leg of their "Where We Are" world tour and Harry Styles and Liam Payne recently took some time off to explore the most popular tourist attraction in Peru: Machu Pichu.

The two "Midnight Memories" singers were spotted taking in the impressive scenery from the top of UNESCO World Heritage Site, Machu Picchu, on Tuesday, April 29. Instead of going for the actual Inca Trail trek, which takes four days to reach the site, they opted for a climb around the ancient ruins to enjoy the magnificent view.

Payne took to Twitter to express his passion for adventures. "My real job is explorer all the rest of the stuff just part time keeping busy," he wrote. He got to do interesting things such as his encounter with an animal. "Spent the 1st few hours of the day shouting at a parrot trying to make him curse lol," he tweeted.

Although it has been hectic so far, Styles also seems like he is enjoying his time in the South American country; he tweeted on Sunday: "Lima you're incredible."

During their performance in Lima, Payne had to ask the crowd to stop pushing, as a handful of fans were taken to the hospital. Following the incident, tents were used as emergency treatment centers. "We treated 47 children with the first stages of asphyxia," Mario Cassareto, the head of Peru's volunteer fire service, said on the Peruvian radio. "Everything is under control. We have nothing to be ashamed of, we've handled the situation well."
