The Stanley Cup playoffs just keep on delivering. Hockey fans already experienced three game sevens in the first round and a historic 3-0 series comeback win by the Los Angeles Kings. It's a good time to be a hockey fan with competition and parity at an all time high. There's a good chance that all four series in this second round will go seven games. Tuesday night has a pair of double headers for hockey viewers.

New York Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins

Series tied 3-3

The Rangers will be attempting to defeat the Penguins in the postseason for the first time in franchise history. This has been a bit of weird series with the home team so far 2-4. The Rangers won game one in overtime 3-2, but the Penguins responded quickly. The penguins would go on to win the next three games to take a commanding 3-1 series lead and had a chance to end the series at home last Friday in Pittsburgh. However the Rangers had different plans, annihilating the Penguins 5-1 and winning game six by a score of 3-1. Henrick Lundqvist was phenominal in goal for the Rangers in game six, stopping 36 of the 37 shots he faced. The winner of this game will advance to Eastern Conference Finals.

Game seven will be played in Pittsburgh at the CONSOL Energy Center and will begin at 7 p.m. Eastern time.

Chicago Blackhawks at Minnesota Wild

Blackhawks lead series 3-2

This series hasn't been nearly as exciting for hockey fans as the others, but if the Wild can win and force a game seven, all bets are off. The Blackhawks look to defend their Stanley Cup Championship and win their third title in the last five seasons. There's only one problem for the Wild: The home team has won all five games in this series so far and game six is in Chicago. After going down 0-2, the Wild didn't go away easy. They would win the next two games, evening the series and now find themselves with a chance to force a game seven. The Blackhawks dominated the first two home games by winning both by three goals each and stole game five in dramatic fashion. With the score tied 1-1 in the third period, Jonathan Toews scored the game-winner to give the Blackhawks the victory and a 3-2 series lead.

Game six will be played in Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center and will begin at 9 p.m. Eastern time.

In the meantime, the Montreal Canadiens will be getting ready for a game seven showdown with the Boston Bruins (yet again) tomorrow night in Boston. The Anaheim Ducks will also look to put away the Los Angeles Kings in game six.
