The much awaited fall release of Apple's flagship model, the iPhone, will be a first in the industry. The release of two models -- the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6 within the same month has definitely caught the attention of tech reviewers and smartphone users far and wide.

Even more intriguing is the staggering number of leaked photos and videos of the iPhone 6, which various sites call the iPhone 5C. The iPhone 6 is said to be made out of a hybrid chassis which combines both plastic and metal and will come with candy-colored polycarbonate plastic outer shells. The cheaper and more colorful plastic packaging of the gadget, along with an 8-megapixel camera will constitute what is said to be a budget version of the iPhone.

The iPhone 6 is said to come in various candy colors such as yellow, green, blue, red and white and rumors say it will be released Sept. 27, a mere week after the release of the iPhone 5S. A leaked photo of plastic outer shells in yellow, red and green has gone viral after French website NowhereElse published it. TechdyBlog also featured a video of the iPhone 6 along with some photos. According to Chris Chang, M.I.C. Gadget blog's editor in chief, the materials came directly from Apple's Taiwan manufacturers. There was also a leaked photo of an 8-megapixel camera which was very similar to the iPhone 5's.

According to Jeremy Horwitz, editor in chief of iLounge, the budget version of the iPhone will be a fusion of the iPhone 5, the iPod Touch 5th Generation and the iPod Classic. Just like the iPhone 5, the iPhone 6 will be sporting a 4-inch screen with the SIM slot positioned on the center side. The differences between the iPhone 5 and 6 will be more prominent when viewed from the left and the bottom.

Unlike the circular buttons intended to regulate volume on most of the previous iPhone models, the volume buttons for the Phone 6 will be pill-shaped, much like the ones used on the iPhone Touch and iPhone 3G/3GS. In terms of shape, the iPhone 6 will take on the familiar curvy features of the iPod Classic -- with a curve joining its flat back and sides.

Although similar in shape, the materials used will no longer be metal but polycarbonate. Horwitz's sources claim that Apple will still be using Gorilla glass for the budget iPhone's screen. The cheaper version of the iPhone is said to be mainly targeting mobile users in China. Tim Cook's increasing number of visits to Apple's second largest market is said to be due to the company's efforts to collaborate with the world's largest telecommunications carrier, China Mobile Ltd. with over 700 million subscribers.
