When Cupertino-based tech giant, Apple, launched its latest MacBook Pro lineup, only the lowest-end, 13-inch model arrived without the Touch Bar, which gave Apple users and other tech enthusiasts the impression that the all-new Touch Bar would very much become a permanent feature for MacBook Pro laptops in the future. However, recent tech reports have suggested that it may no longer be the case.

According to a report from The Christian Post, the next refresh of the MacBook Pro lineup could arrive later this year, with the higher-end 15-inch MacBook Pro launching without the Touch Bar feature. This decision is due to multiple professionals' poor response and feedback to the current MacBook Pro laptops, particularly highlighting the Touch Bar feature.

Despite this, it doesn't mean that the company will now completely abandon the Touch Bar. Instead, rumors have been brewing that Apple is going to give their customers the freedom of choosing whether or not they want the feature on their 15-inch MacBook Pro laptop.

This would mean that the MacBook Pro laptop without the Touch Bar will be cheaper than the model that is equipped with it. As reported earlier, the next upcoming MacBook Pro models will include support for up to 32 GB of RAM.

In addition to that, the lineup will also come in 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB SSD options as well. The new MacBook Pros will be power-efficient and is going to have a much-improved battery life since Apple will reportedly use the all-new Intel Kaby Lake processors, which are capable of providing up to 9.5 hours wort of 4K video playback.

According to Apple Insider, Apple has yet to make an official announcement on when the next MacBook Pro lineup will be released. Previous rumors have suggested an early third quarter release, most specifically in July.

If the said rumors are proven to be true, Apple fans can expect the upcoming new MacBook Pro models to launch in the second half of 2017. More updates will be coming soon.
