It just wouldn't be the World Cup without Maradona.

The soccer player-turned-coach led the Argentinian team to the World Cup in 2010, and this year, he is contributing a song. With the band Apolo and his daughter Dalma, he recorded "Gritándole al Viento" as a tribute, notes La Manana Neuquen.

The song was produced by Guillermo Beresnak and co-produced by Sergio Garcia Marin. It talks about hopes, dreams and love. More specifically, it is extremely passionate on the subject of soccer.

The video, which was directed by Diego Salpurido and Tuja Camano, was filmed in April on an artificial beach in Dubai as well as in Buenos Aires.

Apolo released the video today, though it is not available in the United States as of now. The group said, "We want to say thanks to Sony Music Argentina for trusting in us and supporting us on this new journey."

The song starts off by saying, "I always have hope to live every moment when love touches us no loss or laments."

The song continues to talk about how people unite under a flag to reach glory.

"It springs free from the earth to play without boundaries," they sing. "Join our course under one flag, showing the world a true passion."

There has been a lot of debate about the official World Cup song this year. The song by Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull and Claudia Leitte has been criticized. People have found the song bland and not a true homage to Brazil, where the games are being played. Also, some were more impressed with the song that Shakira later released, saying it deserved to be the official anthem for the World Cup.
