The issue involving the controversial book of Jeanine Cummin is still not coming to an end.

The book has garnered multiple criticisms from various social networks. This had also led to the cancellation of the promotional tour of the book. As of the moment, there are still people speaking their minds about the book's controversial Latino stereotype contents. The book is now being dubbed as one of the most controversial literary pieces in the past few years. 

What did Eva Longoria have to Say about the Book?

Eva Longoria, actress, and entrepreneur stated that the issue involved with the book was something more than what other critics have to say. 

While the actress was asked to spoked to a panel while having a 'Defining 

Women's brunch in Beverly Hills by Emily's List, she said that she has not read the book yet. 

An article from San Antonio Current stated that she does not have any plans to read the controversial book. 

In a report, she shared how Eva Longoria believed that the context of the controversial book was parallel and synonymous with the actual situation of the entertainment industry and with the government. Also, she shared the story of how the gatekeepers of both sectors do not reflect those whom they serve. She believes this is the primary issue.

Latino Advocate Groups and Social Media

In a note for Belatina by Marcela Davison Aviles, it highlighted the strategies that supported Latino depiction in literary pieces and what efforts it exerted to state their comment about the controversial American Dirt publication.

The note said that the organizers were aware of the date of publication of the book. That how this group of people (respectful and influential writers and advisors with rich experience in making Latino literary masterpieces) used their capabilities as writers to express their point. Through social media, the group had expressed their support for their advocacy. They employed continuous, consistent, and tenacious (CCT) in sending their message to the public.

After Longoria's statement about the controversial book proves that there is no room for disgrace for the Latino people as of the moment. 

Longoria is one of the strong supporters of the fair representation of the Latino community in different sectors.

Longoria was disappointed to find out from the publisher that the book tour was canceled due to safety issues. She shared her disappointment with how her community was perceived as a group of crazy and trouble-making people. She stressed that their community is not crazy and destructive. She defended her community by saying that the people expressed the inaccuracies of Latino representation they have found in some parts of the book.

As to the anger of the Latino community towards American Dirt, Longoria gave her final statement on the issue.

Longoria was upset about the contents of the book such as the misrepresentation of the Latino community, including the part where they called people coming from the Latino community as having the potential to go crazy.
