Narcos: Mexico Shows Controversial Real-Life Crime

'Narcos: Mexico,' a series proven to have attained praise and admiration from viewers. For many, the series was admired by many not only for its plot but also for the representation it has for real-life characters and events that occurred in history, says a recent article.

In the numerous scenes of the series, many of them occurred a few years in the past. The scene when the staff was murdered at the home of Carlos Salinas de Gortari. This scene had shocked the viewers of the show.

The crime was based on a true story where the hands of the murdered were stained with three children's blood.

The Recreation of an Actual Crime in 'Narcos: Mexico'

One of a scene from the series Narcos: Mexico portrayed two children playing in a mansion's garden. One of the children was playing with a wooden sword. The other one was playing with a real rifle gun. Upon the retreat of their imaginary enemies, they decided to enter the room. In the room, they found no one. Later, they decided to separate and searched the entire house.

The child who was playing with a real rifle went to the second floor. The child went through the kitchen and the dining room in the house. In the dining area, the child saw a maid cleaning some objects. In the kid's imagination, the maid was an enemy to his game. The kid ordered the maid to walk. Three minors went to the living room with the maid.

Upon their arrival at the living room, they made her go down on her knees. Then, they asked her to put her hands up in the air. The other child with a sword told her she was a spy of their enemy. They then asked in a lower voice to say her part as the other one with the real rifle was pointing it at her.

After the young girl said "Long live France," she was immediately shot in the head by the kid with a rifle. After shooting the girl, the two got worried their mother will get angry for ruining her favorite rug.

On December 18, 1951, a gunshot was heard in one of the residences in the Narvarte colony's Narvarte colony. Gustavo Rodolfo Zapata (8), Raul Salinas (50), and Little Carlos (4) had ended the life of a housekeeper.

The victim was Manuela, a 12-year-old housekeeper of their home. When the children were playing war, they shot the housekeeper with a 22-caliber rifle. The bullet from the gun went through the maid's cheekbone and got stuck on her head.

Despite not knowing the seriousness of the crime they have committed, they still considered the act as a form of a simple game. When asked by another housekeeper in the housekeepers what they have done, they admitted killing Manuel with pride and satisfaction.  

Narcos: Mexico showed how a children's game can transform into a tragedy.

A Statement from Their Mother

The mother of Raul and little Carlos said on 11:00 in the morning, she went out on a shopping trip. She asked Manuela to take care of the children while she was away. She told Manuela the rifle was in the closet of Raul Salinas, her husband.

She had no idea of the events until witnessing the dead body of Manuela on the floor.

Mexico's President

Carlos, the youngest of the children would become the president of Mexico from 1988 to 1994. However, his term was regarded as electoral fraud.
