This is going to be one heck of an offseason for basketball fans. Multiple all stars are up and coming free agents with expiring contracts and others have opt outs. Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and LeBron James can all opt out this summer if they choose. New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony can also opt out or he can stay for another year for $23.7 million.

If Anthony does opt out, here are five teams he should consider.

Chicago Bulls

The most obvious of all. The Bulls would be a perfect on-court fit for the seven time all star to succeed. According to many sources, Anthony is considering leaving the Knicks and choosing the Bulls as his next team. The Bulls already have a terrific defense team, as Joakim Noah is the current defensive player of the year. Even without Derrick Rose, the addition of Anthony makes this Bulls team a championship contender.

Miami Heat

Imagine if Anthony joined the Heat? That would potentially mean that four of the top five draft picks from 2003 would be on the same team as well as five of the top seven picks. Don't forget about Kirk Hinrich. Choosing the Heat could be a huge risk and reward for Anthony. Wade, Bosh and James all have opt out options in their contract, so choosing the Heat may not be so great if they decide to leave. There's a good chance Anthony will be doing a lot of communicating with James about both of their futures.

Memphis Grizzlies

This team is pretty similar to the Bulls -- very defensive minded with offensive scoring issues. Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph lead this squad and their No. 1 ranked defense but can't beat the Thunder or the Spurs. Bringing in Anthony would be a huge plus. Anthony may not want to go from New York City to Memphis, but there he knows he has a great defensive team around him.

Indiana Pacers

If Anthony were to somehow go to the Pacers, it would just about be a lock for them to win the Eastern Conference. Right now it doesn't seem very likely for this to happen because of salary cap restrictions, but Anthony can make it work. If Anthony is one hundred percent committed to winning his first championship and wants to take a pay cut, he can join the Pacers. The Pacers just need more offense to win the East and remove the Heat as Eastern Conference Champs.

Dallas Mavericks

It's a tough Western Conference, but nobody said winning was going to be easy. Mavericks great Dirk Nowitzki recently said in an interview, "We'd love to have him," referring to the addition of Carmelo Anthony. This wouldn't automatically make the Mavericks resounding favorites, but the combination of Dirk and Carmelo would be must-see television. Anthony has always been a great player, but he still lacks some of the simple basic fundamentals. Rick Carlisle is one of the best coaches in the league, and maybe he could do for Anthony what Phil Jackson did for Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
