A Florida man reportedly pulled out severed human ears from his pocket while being questioned on his grandfather's killing.

Kolby Parker of DeLand initially told deputies that he was attacked by his grandfather Ronal Wells, Sr., while they are inside the home they shared, Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. John Herrell said, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.

Parker, 30, claimed that the two fought after smoking marijuana together. The suspect said that Wells attacked him with a knife. He further told investigators that he disarmed his grandfather and used the knife against him.

Park earlier told investigators that he acted in self-defense, adding that the older man attacked him during a fight.

Pair of Human Ears

When Parker was being interviewed regarding the incident, he reportedly took his grandfather's ears out of his pants and attacked the deputy while trying to grab his gun and taser, according to a New York Post report.

Police said that Parker eventually admitted that he wanted his grandfather to be with his dead grandmother, saying that "it was his time to go," according to an arrest affidavit.

Parker was reported to hit Wells multiple times in the head with a baseball bat before stabbing him again and again with a butcher knife, which he also used to cut off his grandfather's ears.

The suspect also reportedly punched, kicked, and head-butted three deputies as they tried to arrest him.

Investigators found an apron in Parker's bedroom with the phrase "The Family Butcher" during a search of the home.

Attached on the said apron were plastic and human bloody ears, according to a Fox News report.

Parker is currently charged with second-degree murder, as well as battery on law enforcement officer, and resisting with violence.

The Florida man is currently imprisoned in Lake County jail without bond.
