More than 30 suspects involved in the Liga MX brawl have been identified. The fan riot during the Queretaro and Atlas game is one of the most violent fights ever seen in the league.

According to a Marca report, 26 arrest warrants and 21 searches were requested in relation to the incident.

Videos and images of the brawl circulated widely on social media.

Queretaro governor Mauricio Kuri, in an interview on the Mexican television program "Despierta," lamented the horrifying images of the Queretaro fans attacking Atlas fans.

The governor said he was surprised that no one had died since photos of bloodied and people lying on the ground inside the La Corregidora Stadium facilities hinted that people were killed. Kuri, however, revealed that one of them had lost an eye.

Atlas Fans Start Fundraiser; Canelo Alvarez To Offer Financial Support

Among the injured people still fighting for their lives is Esteban Hernandez Martinez, known as El Razor within Barra 51.

Initially, it was reported that Hernandez died during the pitched battle. However, official information indicates that he is in intensive care at the General Hospital of Queretaro, and his friends have started a fundraiser to help pay for his hospitalization.

Boxer Canelo Alvarez and his coach, Eddy Reynoso, both Zorros fans, offered financial support to families of Atlas supporters affected.

Queretaro's coach, Hernán Cristante, denounced that his players have received death threats following last Saturday's violence.

"(The players) have received threats. You can't be calm," he said in a press conference.

Cristante added that calling the players or the people of the institution 'assassins' when they put their integrity on the line and exposed themselves to save someone, is simply "unfair."

In a video shared on Twitter, a fan captured Adolfo Rios, general manager of Queretaro, jumping down from his box onto the field to calm Queretaro and Atlas fans during the pitched battle.

Liga MX Owners' Assembly to Disaffiliate Queretaro Team

FIFA, the international football governing body, issued a statement saying it was "shocked" by the tragic incident that occurred at La Corregidora stadium, calling the violence "unacceptable and intolerable," per CBS Sports.

The Liga MX Owners' assembly will decide what will happen with the franchise in the short term, as well as the gap it creates among teams.

However, it appears that the Queretaro team's disaffiliation is already a done deal, as Liga MX and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) would not want to risk losing the 2026 World Cup venue.

According to the latest reports, Liga MX team owners have proposed the disaffiliation of Querétaro with three most important points of the proposal are: Queretaro's current owner Gabriel Solares would be disaffiliated, Liga MX and the FMF will manage the team, and the players will train in Queretaro, but will not play at La Corregidora in this tournament.

In the meantime, FMF president Yon de Luisa said that the owners of Liga MX will apply a "strict control of cheering groups," with the effective application of prevention and reaction protocols in the stadiums.

Matchday 10 of Liga MX will resume regularly.
