Chris Rock still refused to talk about what happened between him and Will Smith on the stage of Oscars 2022. However, that scenario may completely change when money is involved.

Speaking to the audience of his comedy show at Fantasy Springs in Palm Springs, California on Saturday, the comedian updated his fans and joked about the situation he has been into.

"I'm OK, I have a whole show and I'm not talking about that until I get paid," Rock underscored, per Us Weekly.

Rock also said during the show that his life is good and that he got his hearing back after Smith slapped him for his joke at the Oscars 2022.

According to the Desert Sun, among Rock's jokes during his Saturday show in California were about the Kardashians, Megan Markle, and his joke on divorce.

Rock's comment about the Oscars 2022 incident came days after he briefly addressed the issue at The Wilbur on March 30. During that time, Rock admitted that he was still processing what happened, but he still contended that life is pretty good.

Chris Rock's Brother Defends Comedian; Says He Did Not Know Will Smith's Wife Had Alopecia

Chris Rock talked about his issue with Will Smith days after his brother, Kenny Rock, defended the comedian for his joke in the Oscars.

Speaking to Los Angeles Times, Kenny said that the joke Chris made about Jada Pinkett Smith was funny, but it was not hilarious, per International The News. Kenny added that if Chris knew about Jada having alopecia, the comedian will not make a joke about that.

Chris Rock's brother also noted that he will not accept Smith's apology, claiming that it was not genuine.

"I think his publicist and the people that work under him probably advised him to do that," Kenny Rock pointed out.

Kenny then said that Smith belittled the comedian and that the actor has no respect for his brother.

"He [Will Smith] embarrassed himself by doing that and his legacy by doing that," Kenny Rock stressed.

Will Smith-Chris Rock Slap on Oscars 2022

Rock and Smith made headlines when the actor suddenly went onto the stage of Oscars 2022 and slapped the comedian after he made fun of Jada Pinkett Smith.

Smith then walked back to his table shouting: "Keep my wife's name out of your f*****g mouth."

A day after the incident, Will Smith issued an apology to Rock on his Instagram accounts, claiming that he was wrong and embarrassed about what he did.

Smith was also banned by the Academy to attend the Oscars for about 10 years following the incident. However, his ban will not stop him from being nominated.

On Sunday, a veteran member of the Academy, Harry Lennix, urged Will Smith to return the Oscars he received, contending that the actor is the only one who can redeem the integrity of the Oscars at this time.

Meanwhile, the Academy claimed in a statement that they have no legal authority to claim Smith's Oscars back.
