A Florida man captured a tornado that formed over his family's home at New Port Richey in Pasco County on Tuesday.

According to WFLA, Nicholas Krasznavolgyi was watching the storm on the radar before he took a look out of his window and saw a huge spiral-shaped cloud above him.

Krasznavolgyi then went outside with his camera and tripod to film the storm forming over his house. The tornado's mouth passed directly over his home while he was recording.

In the footage, the young Florida man can be heard saying, "it's a tornado," before the storm moved out of the camera's frame.

Krasznavolgyi's mom, Ashli Krasznavolgyi, told Storyful that her son has been "obsessed" with tornadoes and meteorology since he turned four.

Commenting on the video, Ashli said that it was a view not many have been able to witness. Fortunately, she noted that her son was able to capture it to share with others.

AccuWeather Senior Weather Editor Jesse Ferrell said that one does not see a lot of videos like what Krasznavolgyi captured because the odds are against being directly underneath a funnel cloud.

Ferrell added that one might not survive to share the video or if the person is underneath a tornado, AccuWeather reported.

The National Weather Service (NSW) has confirmed a tornado touched down in the area shortly after the video was taken on May 31. The tornado caused a tree to fall on three cars and another on a power line in Pasco County.

WUSF reported that the NSW also confirmed brief tornadoes near Trinity and Town 'N Country as storms also produced hail and strong and gusty winds. The storms that moved through the greater Tampa Bay region on Tuesday afternoon caused tornadoes and hail.

The NSW released a tornado warning for portions of northern Pinellas County early Tuesday night. The weather service later on confirmed brief, weak tornadoes touched down in the Trinity area.

Residents tweeted videos of funnels against gray skies in Pinellas County. Fox Weather reported that cars were hit, and at least one business had sustained damage in Port Richey. There were no injuries reported due to the tornadoes.

Cleanup after the tornadoes was likely throughout Wednesday, with several hundred people in the Tampa metro region spending most of the evening without electricity due to the storms. Florida is reportedly in its rainy season.

Tornado Watch

Aside from the state of Florida, radar shows storms barging into the Baltimore area in Maryland while extending south to around Huntingtown in Calvert County. According to Washington Post, severe thunderstorm warnings were in effect all along the line.

A tornado warning was also issued for Olney to Columbia until 12:45 p.m. The rotation is not particularly strong, but citizens were advised to seek shelter in the lowest level of a strong building away from windows out of an abundance of caution.

Northwest Washington was also affected by gusty storms and was reported to have had an impact downtown for a short moment.
