Authorities in Mexico recently found dismembered bodies of three men along a bridge in Tijuana, Baja California plagued by drug cartel violence.

According to Borderland Beat, local police received a report about the chopped bodies left at the Rosas Magallón bypass early Monday morning.

The dismembered bodies, which were stacked one on top of the other, were placed at the bridge along with a narco message.

Images and videos of the bodies have circulated across social media, showing the violent situation that exists in Tijuana. It was the residents passing through the site who managed to capture the horrifying scenario.

The Army and the National Guard also arrived at the scene to help the local police. No arrests have been made yet. Authorities are still investigating which criminal group is responsible for the deaths of the three men.

Since the start of September, Tijuana has already seen 33 executions. According to the State Investigation Agency, the city has recorded 20 homicides just over the weekend. More than 1,326 have already been killed in Tijuana in 2022.

Woman Hanged From Another Bridge in Mexico's City of Tijuana

Before the three men's dismembered bodies were found, another body was discovered on a different bridge in Tijuana last Thursday.

This time, the victim was a woman wearing a green strapless blouse. According to the Daily Star, she was found hanging from the El Mirador bridge. A note written on a piece of cloth was also found on her body.

It said: "Welcome to the art of war. Keep trying scumbags." The woman's body was reportedly riddled with stab wounds.

The unidentified woman, between 35 and 40 years of age, had a robust dark complexion and dark brown hair.

Bodies have been piling up across El Mirador. In June, two human heads were found in front of the neighborhood's La Isla residential complex.

The heads came with a note that stated that the La Menchiza organization was now taking control of the area.

Mexican Drug Cartels in Mexico Make Tijuana a Dangerous City

Gang-related murders are already common in Tijuana, as various Mexican drug cartels vie for smuggling routes into the U.S.-Mexico border.

Battles for territory and assassinations of rival gang members are also common. Americans traveling through Mexico often frequent Tijuana, mainly because of its proximity to the U.S.-Mexico border.

However, because of the high number of crimes across the city and concerns over kidnappings, the U.S. State Department issued a travel warning for Tijuana and Baja last March.

The government warned Americans in the areas not to travel between cities after dark and not to hail taxis on the street. They advised Americans staying there to rely on regulated taxi stands and dispatched vehicles such as Uber.
