An Arizona man is facing multiple counts of murder charges for killing his parents, teen sister, and 5-year-old niece.

In a statement posted on Facebook on Monday, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office said Richard Wilson IV, 21, was arrested for the death of his 47-year-old father, Richard Wilson; 50-year-old mother Ellen Otterman; 16-year-old sister Rudy Wilson; and niece Renaya White.

According to People, the police department received a 911 frantic call from a home near Rosemead Drive and Bel Air Road, just outside Casa Grande, at around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday.

Rudy was later identified as the one who called the police. When police officers arrived, they found four dead bodies inside the family's home. Police said the younger Wilson was still on the scene when deputies arrived. They saw him exiting a 5th wheel trailer beside the house.

Court documents showed that the younger Wilson said, "I'm over here, take me to jail," as police officers approached him. The Arizona man was arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree murder. He is being held at the Pinal County Jail with a bond set at $2.5 million.

Arizona Man Stabs Family to Death

Chief Deputy Matthew Thomas told KNXV it was "quite a horrific scene." Sacramento Bee reported that Rudy Wilson called 911 for help as her brother was killing the other family members, but it was disconnected.

Thomas said they always have "these calls that haunt you throughout your career." The sheriff's office did not release further details regarding what led to the murder of the whole family.

According to 12 News, deputies found bloody clothing and shoes while searching inside the trailer. Court documents revealed that all four victims appeared to have been beaten before being killed with a knife.

Wilson requested his medication after being arrested, and detectives did not announce the specific prescriptions. However, they commented that mixed medication or improper dosage could lead to an altered mental state.

During his arrest, the suspect was seen with a cut on his left hand and blood on his clothes. The younger Wilson had previous interactions with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.

Since 2019, there have been at least 10 calls for service involving Wilson, including assault and a drug offense, and on July 23 for a mental health pickup.

According to his booking record, Wilson's next court date is scheduled for September 13. However, it was unclear if he had a lawyer to comment on the matter.

Neighbors React to Arizona Man Killing His Family

Neighbor Wanda Hamilton said there was disbelief on her part as it does not happen in the area. Hamilton said she also talked to Richard Wilson IV all the time, AZ Family reported.

The neighbor added that the Arizona man lived with his grandparents a few doors down and went to his parent's house daily to take care of their horses.

Another neighbor, Joy Moreno, said the five-year-old girl was always playing outside and seemed like a very happy kid. Hamilton added that the family has lived in that home for about five years.
